1) Elvis Presley Quotes:

"Some people tap their feet, some people snap their fingers, and some people sway back and forth. I just sorta do ▒em all together, I guess."

-Elvis in 1956, famous quote talking about his way of moving on stage.

"I ain't no saint, but I've tried never to do anything that would hurt my family or offend God...I figure all any kid needs is hope and the feeling he or she belongs. If I could do or say anything that would give some kid that feeling, I would believe I had contributed something to the world."

Lisa Marie Quotes

A couple of months ago I hauled my white ass on stage alongside Chaka Khan and Stevie Wonder for Divas Las Vegas, singing in front of a celebrity audience. If I can hold my own there, I can hold my own at Top of the Pops, trust me.

After my father died, I stayed relatively sane for two years, although I did lose my noodle at summer camp right after my dad's death. But when I hit 12, 13, that was it. I hated my mom's boyfriend, and there was a lot of control on me. I didn't like that, so I rebelled.

Anything my father did for me or gave me was done out of love. I'm sure I had moments when I was a snot. But my mom was there to smack me back to the other side.

2) Elvis Presley’s Movies

Girl Happy is a 1965 musical romantic comedy starring Elvis Presley.

This film portrays Elvis as the leader of a rock n’ roll band who sings its hearts out to Shelly Fabares, Nita Talbot and Mary Ann Mobley.

Rusty Wells and his band are just about ready to leave Chicago for their annual spring break trip to Ft. Lauderdale. That is, until Big Frank extends their stay at his club.

Big Frank's daughter decides to go to Ft. Lauderdale with her friends for spring break, and so he gets Rusty and his band to look after her and makes sure she stays out of trouble.

While he looks after her, he has to contend with good time girl, Deena, who has no patience for guys that stand her up or keep her waiting.

3) This month’s top Fan Survey Responses:

Name: Holly

From: United States

1. How and when did you first hear about Elvis Presley?
: My Granny and I used to watch Elvis movies when I would go over to her house. I remember we would stay up until all hours of the night watching his movies. I've loved Elvis music and Elvis movies since I was old enough to walk. And I've just loved Elvis ever since.

2. What was it that got you hooked on Elvis?
: At first his movies, then I started listening to his music, and I just loved it. Elvis Presley doesn't have one bad song to his name in my opinion.

3. If Elvis were alive, what would you like to say to him or ask him?
"My Message to Elvis": First I would kiss the crap out of him. But after that, I'd want to ask him if he regrets anything and what does he think could have saved his life?

There's lots of stuff I'd want to talk to him about.

4. WHICH is your favourite Elvis Presley song or movie? And why is it your favourite?
: Movie: Loving You & King Creole
Song: If I Can Dream, In The Ghetto, and Always On My Mind.

Elvis Presley was a great actor, but I think that Loving You and King Creole really show it a lot better. These movies are just flat out good. and all the songs in them are really good.

If I Can Dream and In The Ghetto are incredible songs. They both send out true, intense messages. When Elvis sang them, you could really tell he felt the song and he believed in every word coming out of his mouth. Always on my mind is a great song, because it's really Elvis singing about his personal life. You almost feel guilty for watching him sing it, because you feel like it's something personal for him, and it really was. It's such a great song, I cry almost every time I hear it.

5. Which is your favourite SUIT that Elvis wore on stage?
: I liked the 68 Comeback suits, and I'm also a fan of the clothes he wore during the 50s. Those really stylish, bright suits and stuff like that. Love it.

6. Who do you think Elvis loved most in his life, his greatest love?
: his mother, Gladys Lisa Marie Priscilla

7. Where were you and what were you doing when you heard that Elvis had died?
: I was born in 1991. So I was non-existant whenever he passed away.

8. Why do you think Elvis still attracts new fans every year, even long after his death?
: It's hard to say. There's just some kind of something that he has that is timeless. I honestly can't pinpoint a specific thing about him that does it, it's just his whole being, I guess.

Have you been to Graceland?...If so, would you like to share your experience or feelings on this site?
: Yes. I went on July 2, 2007. I was originally supposed to go for my 16th birthday in April, but a few days before I went, I hurt my knee really bad, and had to have surgery, and so finally in July, me, my mom, and my aunt, went to Memphis, knee brace and all, and we went to Graceland, and it was the most fun I'd ever had. When I was there, I felt like I had to whisper when I spoke, because it's such a...temple, almost. It really is a time capsule, you felt like at any moment, Elvis was going to come running in. It was AMAZING. I can't wait to go back.

Elvis was a trend leader and constantly "transformed" himself in his career, like Madonna & music stars are famous for doing nowdays. Which are your favourite "Elvis eras" in his career?
: Young raw musician,

Do you have any suggestions on how we can improve this site for Elvis's fans?

HELLO Holly

Thank you for your comments on our survey, it’s lovely to hear from you Holy. Elvis was pretty hot in his black leather, in the 68 comeback. So stunningly handsome. When Elvis sang it was from deep within, he did feel every word. I must agree with you Holy, some of his songs were so close to his own sorrow its hard not to have a tear or two, when you see and feel the emotions over powering our king, we are right there with him. I’m sure Graceland is an overwhelming experience. I would love to go to Graceland its one of my future goals to make the trip. Holy look after that knee, I hope all goes well for you.

Clean Up Your Own Backyard

This new feature of our ezine is for karaoke superstars & the fans that just like to sing-along with the King.

performed by Elvis Presley

(B. Strange — S. Davis)

Back porch preacher preaching at me
Acting like he wrote the golden rules
Shaking his fist and speeching at me
Shouting from his soap box like a fool
Come Sunday morning he's lying in bed
With his eye all red, with the wine in his head
Wishing he was dead when he oughta be
Heading for Sunday school

Clean up your own backyard
Oh don't you hand me none of your lines
Clean up your own backyard
You tend to your business, I'll tend to mine

Drugstore cowboy criticizing
Acting like he's better than you and me
Standing on the sidewalk supervising
Telling everybody how they ought to be
Come closing time 'most every night
He locks up tight and out go the lights
And he ducks out of sight and he cheats on his wife
With his employee

Clean up your own backyard
Oh don't you hand me none of your lines
Clean up your own backyard
You tend to your business, I'll tend to mine

Armchair quarterback's always moanin'
Second guessing people all day long
Pushing, fooling and hanging on in
Always messing where they don't belong
When you get right down to the nitty-gritty
Isn't it a pity that in this big city
Not a one a'little bitty man'll admit
He could have been a little bit wrong

Clean up your own backyard
Oh don't you hand me, don't you hand me none of your lines
Clean up your own backyard
You tend to your business, I'll tend to mine

Clean up your own backyard
You tend to your business, I'll tend to mine

5) Party Planner tips:

This new feature of our ezine is a bonus home entertaining guide for all you party animals.

"Super Foods for that Super Party"

As they say, people will always remember the foods they have tasted at a party. That’s why most party organizers are so meticulous when it comes to party menu planning.

However, planning a party menu does not have to be tedious and costly. All you need is the right stuff, the right attitude, and the right taste to incorporate every food item that will definitely fill even the hungry beast.

What’s important when planning a menu for the party is to create dishes that are not only "finger-licking’ good" but also health-friendly, too.

Here is a list of some tips that you can use when planning your party menu without having to stretch your budget.

1. Go fresh and raw

Whatever kind of party you will organize, it’s best to always have a few dishes that use fresh and raw ingredients.

It would be better to have a salad or fruits as your appetizers. They are nutritious, flavorful, and have a wide range of textures. And there’s no cooking required! And so, you will have more time to prepare other things for the party.

2. Consider the foods that are in-season

When planning a menu, it’s best to consider foods that are in season. Not only do you get foods that are of the best quality but you can also save more money because in-season foods usually cost less.

3. Consider the preparation and cooking time of the dishes

In this way, you will be able to estimate how much time is needed to prepare all the dishes that you want to present at the party.

If you think you will only have a little time to prepare the foods, then, it’s best to choose dishes that are easier and quicker to prepare.

4. Have a shopping list

Most people tend to over spend when shopping for their party menu. This is because they tend to snatch whatever they think would fit for their menu.

This will definitely cost you a lot of money. Hence, it would be better to use a shopping list. Write down the exact ingredients you need for the dishes. It’s best to stick to the budget first so that you will know that you are not going overboard with the party menu alone.

The important thing to remember when planning a party menu is to consider foods that not only taste good but are also healthy for your guests.
