1) Elvis Presley Quotes:
We were always an affectionate family.
My mother was the most wonderful person in the world.
I always felt a bit lonely—maybe a better word would be incomplete—when I was little.
But I could tell my mother about it, how I felt and she’d talk to me, and the feeling would go away.
Lisa Marie Quotes
I have a tendency to kick it up. I like to rattle the cage.
I have never met a man who could cope with me — who I am, the Presley name. I was always the dominant one in any relationship, and it's unnatural for the woman to be the ... breadwinner ... Which is why I ended up marrying someone even more famous than myself.
I knew that because of who I am, and the situation I'm in, that I'd attract more critics than your average person, and that was a little intimidating, but I wanted to get out there and pay my dues.
2) Elvis Presley & other Legends
Juliet Prowse (September 25, 1936 — September 14, 1996) was a British-American dancer and actress who was born in Bombay, India, to South African parents.
Prowse began studying dance at the age of four. In her early twenties she was dancing at a club in Paris when she was spotted by a talent agent and eventually signed to play the part of Claudine in the 1960 Walter Lang film, Can-Can. Juliet Prowse reached the height of her popularity in the 1960s, appearing alongside Elvis Presley in G.I. Blues.
Juliet Prowse was the first guest on The Muppet Show. She had her own NBC sitcom for one season; 1965's Mona McCluskey (produced by George Burns).
She met Frank Sinatra on the set of Can-Can and for a time the two were engaged, but they split badly and Sinatra ignored her thereafter. It was around this time that Juliet received enormous publicity for her connection with Sinatra, as well as for having Hollywood's most beautiful legs. She would later show off her dancer's legs in a series of commercials for L'Eggs.
She died in Los Angeles of pancreatic cancer, two weeks short of her sixtieth birthday in 1996. She was survived by her son and her mother. Her ex-husband, TV actor John McCook, who is the father of her only child, reconciled with her shortly before she died after many years of acrimony.

3) This month’s top Fan Survey Responses:
Holly
From: United States
1. How and when did you first hear about Elvis Presley?
: My Granny and I used to watch Elvis movies when I would go over to her house. I remember we would stay up until all hours of the night watching his movies. I've loved Elvis music and Elvis movies since I was old enough to walk. And I've just loved Elvis ever since.
2. What was it that got you hooked on Elvis?
: At first his movies, then I started listening to his music, and I just loved it. Elvis Presley doesn't have one bad song to his name in my opinion.
3. If Elvis were alive, what would you like to say to him or ask him?
"My Message to Elvis": First I would kiss the crap out of him. But after that, I'd want to ask him if he regrets anything and what does he think could have saved his life?
There's lots of stuff I'd want to talk to him about.
4. WHICH is your favourite Elvis Presley song or movie?
And why is it your favourite?
: Movie: Loving You & King Creole
Song: If I Can Dream, In The Ghetto, and Always On My Mind.
Elvis Presley was a great actor, but I think that Loving You and King Creole really show it a lot better. These movies are just flat out good. and all the songs in them are really good.
If I Can Dream and In The Ghetto are incredible songs. They both send out true, intense messages. When Elvis sang them, you could really tell he felt the song and he believed in every word coming out of his mouth.
Always on my mind is a great song, because it's really Elvis singing about his personal life. You almost feel guilty for watching him sing it, because you feel like it's something personal for him, and it really was. It's such a great song, I cry almost every time I hear it.
5. Which is your favourite SUIT that Elvis wore on stage?
: I liked the 68 Comeback suits, and I'm also a fan of the clothes he wore during the 50s. Those really stylish, bright suits and stuff like that. Love it.
6. Who do you think Elvis loved most in his life, his greatest love?
: his mother, Gladys
Lisa Marie
Priscilla
7. Where were you and what were you doing when you heard that Elvis had died?
: I was born in 1991. So I was non-existant whenever he passed away.
8. Why do you think Elvis still attracts new fans every year,
even long after his death?
: It's hard to say. There's just some kind of something that he has that is timeless. I honestly can't pinpoint a specific thing about him that does it, it's just his whole being, I guess.
Have you been to Graceland?...If so, would you like to share your experience or feelings on this site?
: Yes. I went on July 2, 2007. I was originally supposed to go for my 16th birthday in April, but a few days before I went, I hurt my knee really bad, and had to have surgery, and so finally in July, me, my mom, and my aunt, went to Memphis, knee brace and all, and we went to Graceland, and it was the most fun I'd ever had. When I was there, I felt like I had to whisper when I spoke, because it's such a...temple, almost. It really is a time capsule, you felt like at any moment, Elvis was going to come running in. It was AMAZING. I can't wait to go back.
Elvis was a trend leader and constantly "transformed" himself in his career, like Madonna & music stars are famous for doing nowdays.
Which are your favourite "Elvis eras" in his career?
: Young raw musician,

This may be included in our next book "Messages to Elvis". Add it here::
Would you like to tell us a little bit more about yourself to share on your own Elvis Presley Fan page?:
Do you collect Elvis music or memorabilia?
: Music, Movies, Posters, Books, Souveneir items
How would you rate our Elvis Presley Biography site?
: Excellent
Do you have any suggestions on how we can improve this site for Elvis's fans?
: It's great just the way it is :)
HELLO Holly
Thank you for your comments on our survey, it’s lovely to hear from you Holy. Elvis was pretty hot in his black leather, in the 68 comeback. So stunningly handsome. When Elvis sang it was from deep within, he did feel every word. I must agree with you Holy, some of his songs were so close to his own sorrow its hard not to have a tear or two, when you see and feel the emotions over powering our king, we are right there with him. I’m sure Graceland is an overwhelming experience. I would love to go to Graceland its one of my future goals to make the trip. Holy look after that knee, I hope all goes well for you.

4) Favourite Elvis song Lyrics for
If I can Dream
This new feature of our ezine is for karaoke superstars & the fans that just like to sing-along with the King.
There must be lights burning brighter somewhere
Got to be birds flying higher in a sky more blue
If I can dream of a better land
Where all my brothers walk hand in hand
Tell me why, oh why, oh why can't my dream come true
There must be peace and understanding sometime
Strong winds of promise that will blow away
All the doubt and fear
If I can dream of a warmer sun
Where hope keeps shining on everyone
Tell me why, oh why, oh why won't that sun appear
We're lost in a cloud
With too much rain
We're trapped in a world
That's troubled with pain
But as long as a man
Has the strength to dream
He can redeem his soul and fly
Deep in my heart there's a trembling question
Still I am sure that the answer gonna come somehow
Out there in the dark, there's a beckoning candle
And while I can think, while I can talk
While I can stand, while I can walk
While I can dream, please let my dream
Come true, right now
Let it come true right now
Oh yeah
5) Party Planner tips:
This new feature of our ezine is a bonus home entertaining guide for all you party animals.
“PLAN A PARTY WITH UNIQUE THEMES”
Choosing a theme for the party you are cooking up can be really fun and full of anticipation. For mothers and children preparing a birthday party can be a point of bonding for them.
Going through the details like the decorations, tables and chairs, foods, games and crafts for giveaways and the cleaning can be a memorable experience for both mom and the child.
Themes give the party a touch of imagination and creativity. These themes may come from your child’s favorite cartoon program or character, color, thing, activity, movie, storybook and others.
You can come up with unique party theme ideas for various ages and celebrations. For anniversaries, unique themes are:
• Bed and Breakfast Party Theme
• Sex and the City Party Theme
• Something’s Fishy Party Theme
• Psychedelic Sixties Party Theme
• It Happened One Night Party Theme
An example of a truly unique 10th year anniversary theme is the Sex and the City. A very romantic, sweet and exciting anniversary theme that involves limousine, champagne, sexy, black cocktail dress, dinner for two in a cozy restaurant, a stroll in the hustle and bustle of the city and a romantic making love mood to capture the night.
Rare themes for birthday parties of various age levels are as follows:
• Greek Mythology Party Theme
• Underwater Party Theme
• Countries and Cultures Party Theme
• The Beatles Party Theme
• Solve A Mystery Party Theme
Underwater Party themes are good for cute little girls of ages two to four. Moms would enjoy designing the invitation in a little bottle with the paper inside and all the shells and sand. The decorations are crepe papers in aquamarine colors, green, purple and blue. Painted marine animals are stuck up on the wall, ocean-colored bulbs illuminate the house to give a really underwater feel, sands are collected and displayed in areas of the house. Fishes and mermaids are hung on the ceiling by fishing lines and a jukebox playing little girl’s favorite songs.
Games are treasure hunting and giveaways are fake pearls and beads and shiny stuff. Body painting of marine animals is done by a make up artist. Kids and mom will love it. Foods are fish and chips with blue Kool Aid juice.
Organizing themed-parties is not an easy task but an enjoyable one. Success of it lies in the consistency, coherence of elements and factors arranged by the facilitator and organizer. Themes also bring content and life to the party. This is your focal point before you can decide to start planning.
So party people, be as unique and creative as you can be. You do not want to be branded as a copycat, do you!

7) Elvis Presley Trivia:
• On his 70th birthday, Larry King wondered how Elvis would look today. To this, Aaron Brown responded: "Probably like all those Elvis impersonators".
• Elvis' height was officially measured in the army twice and was stated at 6'.0.5 inches in bare foot and 6'.1.75 inches with shoes.
The 2002 Disney animated feature Lilo and Stitch contains more Elvis songs than there are in several movies in which Elvis himself starred. The film's closing sequence also features a montage of photographs, one of which portrays the film's main characters posing before the gates of Graceland . The film also broke several rules related to Elvis in films which included using his photo, shortening his songs for time and dressing up like him. However, the Graceland estate allowed the producers this degree of freedom.
