1. How and when did you first hear about Elvis Presley?
: I was 9yrs old when my Mom & Dad went to see Elvis' "That's The Way It Is" at the drive-in. This was of course 1970. I was also hearing his music on the radio and loved his music.

2. What was it that got you hooked on Elvis?
: This may seem shallow, but 1st his looks and as I got older his voice and how beautiful he sang.

3. If Elvis were alive, what would you like to say to him or ask him?
"My Message to Elvis": Even though it was later in my early teens before I could really grasp the content of your vocals, I feel I fell in love with you for everything you have done and accomplished and the joy you have given us with your music and movies. I wished you would have taken better care of yourself. I sure do miss you Elvis but I do keep your memory alive.

4. WHICH is your favourite Elvis Presley song or movie? And why is it your favourite?
: I can't say I have one favorite but one that stands out for me as a song is "I'm leaving". The song is very sad and haunting musically. And for movie, anything with him in it.

5. Which is your favourite SUIT that Elvis wore on stage?
: Of course the "Aloha from Hawaii" suit with the American Eagles and the red white and blues.

6. Who do you think Elvis loved most in his life, his greatest love?
: 1st and foremost his mom, 2nd Priscilla. Oh I know all the talk about Ann-Margaret, but she was just fun for him, she wasn't the kind of wife material he was looking for. He couldn't mold her like he did Priscilla. And over more time he became to love her the most. Thats what started the whole down fall for him.

7. Where were you and what were you doing when you heard that Elvis had died?
: I was just about to turn 17. I was on my way out the door on a date when the news came on in the afternoon. I stood in my tracks, didn't go on my date and cried all day and still do to this day.

8. Why do you think Elvis still attracts new fans every year, even long after his death?
: well listen to him sing. His music especially the ballads tied with romance. Definitely his looks, the most beautiful man I have ever laid eyes on, and there are some beautiful men out there but none ever like Elvis.

Have you been to Graceland?...If so, would you like to share your experence or feelings on this site?
: No but I am going summer 2008. I will visit Graceland and the Circle G.

Elvis was a trend leader and constantly "transformed" himself in his career, like Madonna & music stars are famous for doing nowdays. Which are your favourite "Elvis eras" in his career?
: 68 comeback t.v. doco & live concerts

Thank you for your comments on our survey. Elvis has had a lasting affect on the world. Elvis had style, charm, spunky personality and unbeatable talent he put his heart into his music, and his personality and love for his fans give us a truly wonderful man. Elvis was one of the kind!!! He is the King of Rock and Roll and still very much loved today. I agree with you, Elvis was an absolute stunner! I`m sure your going to totally love visiting Graceland. I hope to have the chance to do the big trip to America one day & visit his mansion. I bet it`s an unbelievable and treasured experience. Alicia, thank you for your poem, it`s wonderful.
