1. How and when did you first hear about Elvis Presley?
: 2nd grade in Portsmouth, RI. We had little money but my mother bought me an Elvis jacket,God, to me it was like getting a new Corvette.

2. What was it that got you hooked on Elvis?
: Music!!! I had little interest in music until Elvis. His songs had words that everyone could relate with whether in the ghetto, in jail or in Las Vegas. He was talented man for all people, not one particular genre.

3. If Elvis were alive, what would you like to say to him or ask him?
"My Message to Elvis": Elvis, you accepted anything life gave you. I don't think you would have cared if you did not become famous as long as you had Mom and God. Becoming famous can be very stressful and I understand why you needed the pills. I had problems with perc's too. Takes away pain, shortly. After they stop working we become depressed, suicidal and uncaring of ourselves. You tried as best you could to keep fans happy but God and Mom needed you more.

4. WHICH is your favourite Elvis Presley song or movie? And why is it your favourite?
: DOWN IN THE GHETTO. It offered hope to down and out people that someone understood and cared.

5. Which is your favourite SUIT that Elvis wore on stage?
: Blue suit with large lapels and blue suede shoes and all the sequins of course. 6. Who do you think Elvis loved most in his life, his greatest love?: He loved his Mother and he loved God. Heloved all of his fans.

7. Where were you and what were you doing when you heard that Elvis had died?
: I was sitting in my barracks room watching the Brady Bunch (my roommates fave show ugh.

8. Why do you think Elvis still attracts new fans every year, even long after his death?
: His music is untimely, like God, and he had something for everyone.

: Sorry to say, but not yet. After reading this site motivated me again to visit the shrine of a great man,and, I ll bet very close with Jesus. Elvis, my Dad recently came to Heaven (Exum Leroy Pike). Please meet him and tell him I love him and Jesus and you, my friend.

Elvis was a trend leader and constantly "transformed" himself in his career, like Madonna & music stars are famous for doing nowdays. Which are your favourite "Elvis eras" in his career?
: Soulful ballads & gospel singer of the '70's

Thank you for your comments on our survey. Elvis was an amazing man! He was a shy country boy with ambition. Reaching his goal. Elvis changed our world with his untouchable talent. He was a genuine man with the power to affect the whole world forever. Elvis has had a huge effect on us all, his fans love will never die, we will continue to love, adore and cherish who he was and what he gave. Elvis blessed us all with the true depth of his soul and in return we can only honor and respect this wonderful man, it hardly seems enough. Michael, your expressions of Elvis are so warm and real.
