1. How and when did you first hear about Elvis Presley?
: I was a toddler. My parents would listen to him on the radio and TV. I remember seeing him too! He did "something" to me, because that was THE music for me for the rest of my life!!
2. What was it that got you hooked on Elvis?
: Elvis' style, song choices, and naturally his style of "dance". I felt as if he was standing right in front of ME, singing to ME...as if it were "personal" in a way. Like we were connecting...mentally. Sounds stupid, but it's true. I still feel it.
3. If Elvis were alive, what would you like to say to him or ask him?
"My Message to Elvis": Wow, I'm stumped...this is tough.
I guess my message to Elvis would be: Mr. Presley, you have given my life happiness when I could not find any. I would sit in a room alone, put on one of your albums and your voice would fill my entire soul and body. I would sing along with you. You always had a perfect song I needed to hear for whatever I was going through. Your music was, is, and will continue to be my life. I also have video of you to soothe my eyes. To satisfy my mind. I wish I had something to give you in exchange for all you've given me. I have no riches or talent to fill a void like that. If I were to ever meet you, my life would be complete. You are not my idol, for as a christian (as you would understand)thou shalt not have no idols before me...meaning my God is my idol. But Mr. Presley, Elvis, you are next in line. I wish I could travel with you to a country far away where you would not be recognized, and show you the pleasures of life. Away from the fame, and the lights, and the screaming fans. I would show you: a walk through a meadow, a stroll down a stream, camping in the rolling hills, laying on a beach, ...just taking time to smell the roses.
I could talk forever....(duh!)
I love you, Mr. Presley, and miss you dearly.
4. WHICH is your favourite Elvis Presley song or movie?
And why is it your favourite?
: This is not a fair question!! You are asking me to choose ONE song???
I'm gonna go wayyy out there and choose Clean Up Your Own Backyard.
And my favorite movie...hmmmm... I will have to say Charro. Because I love westerns, plus he looks super sexy in this one!!
5. Which is your favourite SUIT that Elvis wore on stage?
: 1) I love the Fringe suit!!!
2) Then the Eagle suit!!
6. Who do you think Elvis loved most in his life, his greatest love?
: You could go different aspects of love with this question. But I will start with the first love of his life...his mama.
His grandma.
Then Priscilla.
Then Lisa Marie.
These are the ONLY women he truly ever "loved" forever.
7. Where were you and what were you doing when you heard that Elvis had died?
: I was a sophmore in HS at work at a restaraunt. I heard the news, then ran to the pay phone to call my parents to tell them, then I went to the back room on a "break", and cried my eyes out. The other workers thought I was crazy. I didn't care. I hurt so bad from that day on.
8. Why do you think Elvis still attracts new fans every year,
even long after his death?
: Elvis is a true talent that speaks to your soul. It's like he sends a message to you individually while he performs. He makes you feel as if you are his best friend and nobody else matters. Elvis has a power of creating music into his "own" which makes it unique. And this makes it irrisistible NOT to enjoy no matter WHAT age you are or what type of music you like! Every one can relate to Elvis!

: No. I hope to get there "some" day. But not looking good yet.
Elvis was a trend leader and constantly "transformed" himself in his career, like Madonna & music stars are famous for doing nowdays.
Which are your favourite "Elvis eras" in his career?
: Las Vegas stage superstar

` Clean Up Your Own Backyard`
performed by Elvis Presley
(B. Strange — S. Davis)
Back porch preacher preaching at me
Acting like he wrote the golden rules
Shaking his fist and speeching at me
Shouting from his soap box like a fool
Come Sunday morning he's lying in bed
With his eye all red, with the wine in his head
Wishing he was dead when he oughta be
Heading for Sunday school
Clean up your own backyard
Oh don't you hand me none of your lines
Clean up your own backyard
You tend to your business, I'll tend to mine
Drugstore cowboy criticizing
Acting like he's better than you and me
Standing on the sidewalk supervising
Telling everybody how they ought to be
Come closing time 'most every night
He locks up tight and out go the lights
And he ducks out of sight and he cheats on his wife
With his employee
Clean up your own backyard
Oh don't you hand me none of your lines
Clean up your own backyard
You tend to your business, I'll tend to mine
Armchair quarterback's always moanin'
Second guessing people all day long
Pushing, fooling and hanging on in
Always messing where they don't belong
When you get right down to the nitty-gritty
Isn't it a pity that in this big city
Not a one a'little bitty man'll admit
He could have been a little bit wrong
Clean up your own backyard
Oh don't you hand me, don't you hand me none of your lines
Clean up your own backyard
You tend to your business, I'll tend to mine
Clean up your own backyard
You tend to your business, I'll tend to mine
